What should i expect when i travel to phuket of thailand?

Phuket is a big island, full of restaurants, shops, nightclubs... I didn't like the island itself so much, but you can also find some nice small beaches such as Laem Sing. The nicest thing in Phuket is to take a tour and visit the amazing beautiful islands you have around (Phi Phi, Krabi, James Bond...). The tours are normally around USD 100 (or BHT 3,000) but they pick you up at 8AM and drop you at around 6PM (all drinks and food are included). You can even spend the night in those mentioned islands, if you rather have a quiet place instead the busy Phuket nightlife. In my opinion the best thing you find in Thailand is the smile of the friendly Thai people and their culture. I wish I was going to Phuket as well.... enjoy it!
