There are a few budget accommodations scattered across Phuket. My fiancé and I stayed at the Darin Bungalows in Phuket back in January of this year. It was about $20 (USD) a night, and we had a king size bed, an air conditioner, a small refrigerator, a television with cable, and our own bathroom. There was even a beautiful pool outside our door, and a local outdoor market across the street. The bungalows are owned by a very, very nice family, and they are located at Rawai beach on Phuket island. However, donâ™t expect it to be anything like a 5 star resort. The place was clean, but it was a little worn (old paint on the walls)â¦other than that, I highly recommend staying here if youâ™re on a budget. Plus, Nai Harn beach, my personal favorite beach on Phuket, is only a 5 minute motorbike ride away.
For Phuket, Woraburi Phuket Resort and spa is a good choice. Relatively cheap and great value for the money (sorry, more than your budget... US$32) I stay in 4 and 5 star hotels all over the world and from my perspective, this hotel was surprisingly good in every way!
I'd recommend Sand Sea Resort for Krabi accommodation, but it's over your budget. US$54 for bungalow room, and worth the money!! It's an excellent resort in Railay, very good breakfast from the excellent open-air restaurant on the beach front. you can buy alcohol a couple of doors down at another bar and bring it back, too. have a nice trip.
